We are back at the hotel. Just witnessed some massive destruction of hamburgers, french fries, and milk shakes.
Also pictured is our house back in Tela.

Well our time at the beach has come and gone. We are about to eat breakfast and transfer back to the hotel for the day in San Pedro Sula.
Yesterday's fun dive was not all that fun. Visibility was not great and hanging with your dive buddy was a task in itself. After our dive we visited another National Park and saw some Howler monkeys.
This morning we are off to do a fun dive. Apparently where we are headed is known for dolphins and manatees. After the dive we will head ashore for a little stroll through a park. Supposed to see some monkeys so I'm a little excited about that.
After a late lunch we have a volleyball tournament scheduled. That will equate to sunburns for days starting at 3pm. Remember that you heard it here first.
This afternoon we took in a few reef ecology lectures and a dissection of a lion fish. Lion fish are invasive and slowly taken over the Caribbean. Students got to see first hand what the scientists are studying.
Also pictured is a random horse. You see them from time to time. Apparently these are communal meaning if you want to use it, go ahead.
Everyone passed the written exam last night. Two more dives this morning and we are all certified scuba divers.
8 of us are fully certified scuba divers. Bailee is close and needs two more open water dives. Having a little ear discomfort and might finish back in Louisville.
Pretty sure everyone is wore out after our two early morning dives. This afternoon we had two reef ecology lectures and after dinner we will take our written exam.
9 went in and 9 returned. 2 open water dives down and 2 to go. A few struggling with sea sickness, but managing. Currently pool side awaiting lunch.
Well 9 of us are done with confined water diving and ready for the open water. Tomorrow morning we will head out into the ocean. The seahorses took in some mangroves today and will also be heading out to sea tomorrow.
Here is today's schedule. Finishing up pool work today and dive class work. Tomorrow, if we all make it we are off to the reef for some open water action.
-Cole fell asleep....girls took advantage.
-At lunch seemingly everyone ordered fries. Guess they couldn't resist.
-Pool side picks from the turtles.
The Dolphins (Myself, Cole, Sam, and Katherine) have completed confined pool diving 1 and 2. After lunch we will partake in some classroom work.
The turtles completed some classroom work this morning and will be off to do confined pool diving 1 and 2 this afternoon.
The seahorses did all of thier snorkeling/skin diving pool work this morning. They will jump right into the the full reef ecology course this afternoon and evening.
Just little taste of the bathroom conditions while in the rain forest satellite camp! I never saw the ladies station #1, but I heard it had a funnel. The #2 station was a hand crafted trench equiped with usual bathroom needs and a shovel. Good dinner conversation when they return.
Additionally, you can see one of the coldest showers I have ever taken.
Soap was non existent, but I was impressed at how much effort went into hygiene. Every possible contamination point, such as bathrooms or prior to getting dinner, had a chlorinated water hand washing station.
Students washed all of their dishes. You can use that against them when they return.
